Description

Rudraksha meaning-the eye of Rudra [Shiva] is considered to be the most potent manifestation of the Cosmic Force. Rudraksha is often believed to symbolize the link between the earth and the heaven. Rudraksha is known to have magnetic properties and will align to north-south direction if suspended. It is believed that this property of rudraksha has medicinal value. Japa is typically done using a Mala - a string of beads to keep count. A string of 108 beads is most common, with one additional bead separately tied to indicatethe end or the start. Thisseparate bead is called Sumeru, or Meru, also sometimes referred to as a Guru bead. Counting always begins and ends with the bead next to the Sumeru. If more than 108 Mantras are recited, one changes direction when this 'summit bead' is reached, rather than crossing it. A Rudraksha with five faces represents Lord Shiva/ Rudra himself. Its name is Kalagni. It is said that it bestows all sorts of salvation & achievement of desired objects. It is said in the ancient vedic texts that it also monitors blood pressure & is also used for Japa. The cosmic energies we receive from the universe contains wavelengths of different energies coming from different celestial bodies. When we repeat a Mantra we are creating a path for a particular frequency and its vibrations to establish a connection with the cosmic energy and drag it into our body and surroundings. This energizes the specific chakra and leads to fulfillment of desires as needed.
